Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 2 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Hampshire license or compact license (required after submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Prolucent Health Program - Dartmouth Hitchcock and no current placement allowed at Program: Prolucent Health Program - Dartmouth Hitchcock.

Additional Details:

RNs Only: Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.

You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you applied for day shift, you can apply for night shift on the same unit & facility, but you cannot apply for day shift at the same unit & facility.

Required skills/experience:

• Must have telemetry experience.
• Chest tubes
• Tubes
• Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
• Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
• Trachs/Laryngectomies
• Telemetry
• Complex wounds
• Central Lines – care and maintenance and blood draws

Shift & schedule requirements: D/N Rotation

Unit and facility details: Mostly all medical variety of patients as opposed to surgical. Patients with acute or chronic illness such as: sepsis, various infectious processes, acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis), diabetes, GI issues, fluid/electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, skin/wound issues, acute and chronic respiratory illness including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis. DH is a nationally recognized CF center and the adult patients requiring admission come to Medical Specialties. (1 East = 36 beds) (2/3 East = 25 beds)
