About the Position

Job Title: OR Tech Profession: OR Tech Specialty: Fairfax Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Dayshift Hours per Shift: 8 hours and 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: VA Registration required Certifications: BLS (must be AHA certified) Must-Have: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required. Travel experience (at least 1-2 assignments) is needed. Description: Team self-schedules for regular shifts and call. Weekend requirement: 2-3 shifts per 6-week schedule period on Saturday or Sunday. Call expectation: 3-4 weekday and 3-4 weekend shifts (4 hours) in a 6-week schedule. Holiday and night rotation as required by unit. Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract period. Cases involve 70-85 per day in a fast-paced environment. Scrubs will be provided. Operating rooms run 24/7, 365 days a year. Service lines include ortho (including total joints), general surgery, robotics, organ transplants, ENT, oral/maxillofacial, vascular/thoracic, urology, and pediatrics. Neonate and pediatric experience are preferred, along with trauma experience. Floating may be required based on low census needs.
