** Staff Accountant **

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role manages financial transactions, payroll, reconciliations, and accounting processes while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. The Accountant also assists with budgeting, reporting, and maintaining organized financial records in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

** Responsibilities: **

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
• Maintain accurate general ledgers and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve payment questions or account discrepancies.
• Process payroll and maintain related records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
• Prepare documentation to support audits, tax filings, and external accounting activities.
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Compile financial data and perform analyses to support management decision-making.
• Provide reception and general office coverage as needed.
• Welcome visitors, answer incoming calls, and respond to general office inquiries during coverage periods.

** Qualifications **

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
