Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant Compensation: $50-65/hr depending on experience level Type: Contract Location: San Diego, CA - Onsite Yoh has an exciting contract opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our client. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals who are comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with evolving processes and manual ERP workflows. Responsibilities Support month‑end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and related account analysis. Review and validate financial information within a highly manual ERP environment to help ensure data accuracy and completeness. Assist with accounting‑related transition work for newly acquired businesses, including data review, process alignment, and integration support. Prepare financial reports and perform analysis using advanced Excel tools and formulas. Help identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reduce manual effort, and strengthen internal processes. Maintain organized documentation in accordance with internal accounting policies and procedures. Partner cross‑functionally with accounting and finance team members to support changing business needs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Strong knowledge of general corporate accounting principles and month‑end close activities. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Experience working with manual, complex, or evolving ERP systems preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Experience supporting acquisition integrations, system changes, or process transitions is a plus.
