Project Architect - Residential, Education & Healthcare

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000

Highline is partnering with a globally recognised architecture and design practice to recruit a Project Architect for its New York studio. With offices worldwide and a reputation for delivering complex, technically advanced projects across a broad range of sectors, the firm is known for combining high-level design thinking with strong technical execution and digital innovation.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced architect with a strong technical and BIM background who enjoys working across all project phases, from early concept design through construction and occupancy. The position offers the chance to work within a highly collaborative environment focused on innovation, sustainability, coordination, and delivery excellence.

The successful candidate will play a key role leading technical development, BIM coordination, consultant management, and project delivery on large-scale and complex projects across the practice.

The Role

- Lead projects through all phases from pre-schematic design through construction administration
- Develop technical solutions, design documentation, and coordinated drawing packages
- Manage client, consultant, and internal project team coordination
- Oversee BIM implementation, Revit model management, and Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows
- Develop and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) aligned with project and client requirements
- Lead BIM coordination meetings and clash detection processes using Navisworks
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and delivery efficiency
- Present design and technical options to clients and project stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior architectural staff
- Collaborate with design technology leadership on digital standards, workflows, and innovation initiatives
- Interface with tools including Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, V-Ray, and related visualization and BIM technologies

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- 8+ years of professional architectural experience
- Strong experience delivering technically complex projects across multiple phases
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination workflows
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Navisworks, and consultant coordination
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, technical detailing, and project delivery
- Thorough knowledge of NYC / State building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards
- Experience coordinating directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, MS Office, and construction management platforms such as Procore or Newforma
- Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, and rendering workflows is advantageous
- LEED, WELL, or CPHD accreditation is beneficial
- Architectural registration strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
