Data Collection Specialist (Contractor)

Summary SoundThinking is looking for a detailed oriented Collection Specialist to rigorously test the performance of our systems. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Schedule, organize, and manage system testing and data collection at customer locations. Ensure the completion and integrity of testing, data, and results. Analyze and report on test results. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the test and data collection process. Clearly and professionally communicate with mixed audience of technical and non-technical teammates and customers. Document all work using provided tools (MS Office, Monday.com, ServiceMax, etc.) Other duties and needed. Requires up to 90% travel. Minimum Qualifications Ability to participate and manage field testing, data collection, and quality assurance with a high degree of accuracy. Experience training, supervising, and mentoring teams while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service in dynamic field environments. Demonstrates flexibility and quick adaptability across a wide range of technical and customer-facing roles, thriving in fast‑paced and constantly changing field conditions. Ability to safely work in an environment with firearms. Meticulously detailed oriented. Must be able to pass a background check. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Ability to leverage AI tools for productivity. Close access to major airport. Hybrid Workplace SoundThinking follows a hybrid schedule for employees who live equal to or less than 50 miles from one of our office locations, which include Fremont, CA, Tucson, AZ, Washington, D.C., Orlando, Florida, or Iselin, NJ. Employees are expected to work onsite for a minimum of 3 days per week, unless the advertised role has a specific on‑site requirement. The specific days for in‑office are dependent on the office location.
