Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic contract position where your expertise as a School Psychologist truly makes a difference for students in the Fort Worth area. This role is designed for dedicated professionals ready to provide invaluable support across several elementary and middle school campuses on an itinerant basis. The assignment is on-site only and commences August 10, 2026, concluding May 21, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule totaling 35 hours.
In this capacity, you will be pivotal in conducting evaluations and delivering services for students with Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairment (OHI), which includes essential ADHD assessments, direct student services, and the development and implementation of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Qualifications:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or an Associate School Psychologist Credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of multi-tiered systems of support and evidence-based interventions
- Adaptability to manage itinerant assignments across multiple schools
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and participate in eligibility determinations
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans based on assessment data
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Complete documentation and reporting in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed
