We specialize in custom renovations, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor living spaces, and expert carpentry. We are looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee daily field operations on residential remodeling and construction projects. This role combines hands‑on carpentry with leadership responsibilities, helping coordinate daily work, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects stay on schedule. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced residential carpentry and remodeling work Lead daily jobsite activities and help coordinate work with the Superintendent Assign and monitor tasks for crew members Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and schedule expectations Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications Coordinate material needs and communicate project progress Troubleshoot construction challenges and recommend practical solutions Mentor less experienced carpenters and promote safe work practices Maintain positive communication with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members Qualifications Several years of residential carpentry experience required Previous experience leading crews or supervising projects preferred Strong understanding of residential construction methods and remodeling practices Ability to read blueprints and manage multiple phases of construction Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Dependable, professional, and committed to quality craftsmanship Pay and Benefits Full-time, W-2 employment Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour , based on experience Overtime opportunities may be available based on project workload Opportunity for advancement into higher-level leadership roles Supportive, family‑oriented work environment Health, dental, and vision insurance are not currently offered Why WES-TEX Construction & Remodeling WES-TEX is committed to building exceptional residential projects while creating a workplace where employees can grow professionally.
