JD Details Legal Entity: AECOM Technical Services Inc Business Line: Water Work Location Model: Hybrid Primary Location: US - Phoenix, AZ - 5777 E Mayo Blvd Compensation: USD 150,000 - USD 200,000 - yearly Job Description AECOM is seeking a Municipal Water/Wastewater Project Manager to be based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Water/Wastewater Project Manager will support and lead projects for water and wastewater clients primarily in the Arizona area, with additional national projects. Responsibilities include planning, designing, and preparing plans related to water and wastewater infrastructure, including water distribution, sewage collection systems, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and treatment facilities. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Technical oversight of design staff and team members for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pipelines, sewage collection systems, pump stations, storage tanks, water treatment systems, and wastewater treatment systems. Identify new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinate and participate in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promote AECOM’s capabilities. Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of AECOM's qualification/experience statements. Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, drafting complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management. Direct project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitor subcontractors’ compliance with contractual commitments. Prepare project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicate these to project team members; monitor and manage project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives. May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff, including workload and staffing management. Monitor and report financial status of projects to technical managers. Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline plus at least eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Professional Engineering (PE) license in Arizona or the ability to obtain one within the first six months of employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on municipal projects. Experience and familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCAD. Experience working with local clients in the New Mexico region. Proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability; strong project financial management and ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.
