Community Coordinator

spARK Labs by ARK Invest is a nonprofit business incubator at the ARK Innovation Center. We support member companies with office and coworking space, event and studio facilities, mentorship, and programming. The Community Coordinator at our front desk is the first point of contact for members, guests, investors, and partners, and sets the tone for the building. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Greet and check in every person entering the building. Maintain building security, including keeping the first-floor entrance locked at all times. Answer member questions or route them to the right person. Support tours, events, deliveries, and programming. Monitor conference room usage and confirm every room in use has been booked. Coordinate food and setup for Lunch and Learns and other member programming. Keep the lobby and common areas presentable. Flag maintenance, security, and member issues to the team. SOFTWARE WE USE Verkada Pass, building access and door management. Members badge in through the app. Nexudus, member portal. Bookings, memberships, invoices, and visitor registration. Outlook and Teams, internal communication and scheduling. EXPECTED STANDARDS The desk is staffed continuously during posted hours. No personal meetings at the desk during your shift. No music at the desk. Members work in and around the lobby. Minimal personal phone use. No headphones in both ears, watching video, or doing coursework at the desk. Greet everyone who enters, even when mid-task. If they are here to meet the team, offer water or coffee while they wait, then let the team know their guest has arrived.
