Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sushi Chef who is passionate about their craft. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of traditional sushi techniques, a flair for presentation, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding Blue Elephant’s quality and standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of sushi including sashimi, nigiri, maki and specialty rolls
Maintain proper inventory and handle fresh seafood with care
Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
Collaborate with the culinary team on menu development and seasonal specials
Maintain a clean and organized sushi station at all times
Qualifications:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-volume restaurant
Strong understanding of food safety and proper handling of raw fish
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
