Job Title: International Shipping Specialist

Job Description

This contract-to-hire role focuses on managing domestic and international shipments from a Cochran Road facility, ensuring accurate, on-time delivery and exceptional customer service. You will handle end-to-end shipping processes, from order picking and packing to documentation and ERP updates, while supporting inventory integrity and warehouse operations in a clean, electronics-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of products worldwide while maintaining high accuracy and strong customer service standards.

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with carrier and documentation requirements.

• Pick, pack, protect, and prepare products for shipment according to company and customer specifications.

• Process domestic and international shipments using FedEx Ship Manager, DHL, UPS, and other carrier platforms.

• Create shipping documentation, including packing lists, commercial invoices, bills of lading, and export paperwork.

• Close sales orders and enter shipping information accurately within SAP or other ERP systems.

• Verify shipment accuracy and complete final shipment documentation before dispatch.

• Coordinate and ship finished goods, repairs, rentals, and customer orders to global destinations.

• Communicate shipment status and updates clearly and promptly to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Ensure all daily orders ship accurately and on time, meeting internal and customer deadlines.

• Maintain inventory integrity through accurate data entry, cycle counts, and proper material flow within the warehouse.

• Assist with warehouse organization, including order pulling, packaging, and general logistics operations.

• Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently as needed.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area.

• Travel between local facilities in the Solon area as needed to support shipping and warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 3+ years of shipping experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.

• Hands-on experience using FedEx Ship Manager and/or DHL shipping systems for domestic and international shipments.

• Proven experience preparing international shipping documents, including commercial invoices and export paperwork.

• Prior experience with picking, packing, order pulling, and shipping and receiving activities.

• ERP system experience required, with strong preference for SAP; ability to enter and update shipping and order data accurately.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience with carrier platforms such as FedEx, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL, and UPS.

• Familiarity with creating and managing bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documents.

• Experience performing inventory-related tasks such as cycle counts and maintaining inventory integrity.

• Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, in a safe manner.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and order verification.

• Effective communication skills for providing shipment status updates to customers and internal teams.

• Experience working within an SAP-based shipping or logistics environment.

• Experience in international shipping processes and regulations.

• Exposure to electronics or similar clean-room-oriented warehouse environments.

• Comfort working with multiple carrier systems and adapting to new shipping platforms as needed.

• Ability to support logistics operations across multiple local facilities.

• Demonstrated reliability and tenure in previous roles, showing commitment and consistency.

• Interest in growing into leadership or cross-functional roles as opportunities arise.

Work Environment

This role is based at a Cochran Road facility in the greater Cleveland/Solon area and follows a MondayFriday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will work alongside civil engineers, electronic engineers, software developers, and technicians who support the design and production of advanced testing equipment used on projects worldwide. The facility includes a nice cafeteria and operates with modern warehouse and logistics tools, including SAP/ERP systems, carrier platforms such as FedEx Ship Manager, DHL, and UPS, and standard warehouse equipment like pallet jacks. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
