Patient Services Coordinator

Position Overview

Requesting approval to add a 1.0 FTE Patient Services Coordinator to support high-volume referral work queues currently managed by a single employee (Site Supervisor). Current referral volumes exceed 1,600 active referrals, including: Clinton Street Primary Care: ~500 Lung Cancer Screening (LDCT): ~184 Dietitian Referrals: ~633 Although Clinton Street is a smaller practice, it supports a complex mix of services, including Primary Care, Lung Cancer Screening, Resident Physicians, Faculty Providers, the Geriatric Dementia Clinic, and Nutrition Services, all of which generate significant referral and care coordination needs. Although the department is currently operating 1.36 FTE above productivity benchmarks, reliance on a single employee to manage these high-volume referral workflows creates operational risk and can negatively impact timely patient access and referral management. Adding a PSC will improve referral turnaround times, reduce backlogs, enhance patient access and communication, and provide needed support for providers, faculty, residents, and specialty programs. Due to space constraints at Clinton Street, the position may need to be housed at an alternate location but should remain assigned to the Clinton Street department given the volume of work generated there.

Compensation Range: $17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience
