About the Role The Assistant Community Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall management and engagement of residential or commercial communities within the United States. This position is responsible for assisting in the daily operations, fostering positive relationships with residents or tenants, and ensuring that community standards and policies are upheld. The Assistant Community Manager collaborates closely with the Community Manager to implement programs that enhance resident satisfaction and promote a vibrant, inclusive environment. This role requires proactive problem‑solving to address resident concerns promptly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the community. Ultimately, the Assistant Community Manager helps create a welcoming and well‑maintained community that meets the needs of all stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications At least 1‑2 years of experience in property management, community management, or customer service roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations. Proficiency in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and property management software. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with community management software such as Yardi, AppFolio, or similar platforms. Certification in community association management (e.g., CAM) or related professional credentials. Demonstrated experience in event planning and community engagement activities. Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and local property regulations. Bilingual abilities or additional language skills relevant to the community demographics. Responsibilities Assist the Community Manager in overseeing daily community operations and maintenance activities. Serve as a primary point of contact for residents or tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely manner. Coordinate and support community events and initiatives that promote resident engagement and satisfaction. Monitor compliance with community policies, lease agreements, and safety regulations, reporting any issues to management. Maintain accurate records related to resident communications, maintenance requests, and community activities. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. Support leasing activities by assisting with tours, application processing, and move‑in/move‑out procedures. Prepare reports and assist with budgeting and financial tracking as directed by the Community Manager. Skills The Assistant Community Manager utilizes strong communication skills daily to effectively engage with residents, vendors, and team members, ensuring clear and professional interactions. Organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks such as coordinating events, tracking maintenance requests, and maintaining accurate records. Problem‑solving abilities are applied to address resident concerns promptly and to support the Community Manager in operational challenges. Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office tools enables efficient handling of administrative duties and reporting.
