Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days (Monday - Friday) Hours per Shift: 10 hours (6:30 AM - 5 PM), rotating day off Experience: - Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience required - Trauma Level I experience highly preferred - Trauma Level II experience required - Completion of a travel assignment within the last 15 months required License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: - BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: - Experience in circulating and operating room - Scrub experience highly preferred - Experience in General, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required - Additional experience in Client, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular preferred - EPIC electronic medical records experience within the previous 3 years required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. The position requires operating room experience and familiarity with various surgical cases. Candidates must be comfortable circulating and scrubbing procedures. The average caseload is 35-50 cases per day, with an expectation for turnovers of less than 20 minutes. The unit is equipped with advanced technology, including 3 Da Vinci robots and Stealth technology for neuro navigation. We cater to a variety of service lines, such as cardiac, neuro, and trauma, among others. The nurse may be required to float across multiple campuses. On-call duty is expected on weekends and overnight during the week. Contractors are required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed.
