Work Environment

This is an onsite position at our bustling outpatient office in New Brunswick, NJ, where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life harmony. Your role will include maintaining a manageable patient load, ensuring that you can provide each patient with individualized attention and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their specific rehabilitation goals and needs.
• Maintain a consistent patient schedule, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure dedicated care and assessment.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that encompass a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Utilize manual therapy, exercise programs, and other rehabilitative methods to enhance mobility and functional capacity.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and encourage adherence to rehabilitation plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment strategies as needed based on empirical evidence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and occupational therapists, to create an integrated approach to patient care.
• Implement wellness programs that promote overall patient fitness, incorporating strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination exercises.
• Advocate for non-surgical options whenever feasible, reducing dependence on pharmacological treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries, as well as those seeking preventive care to enhance their overall physical function. Our patient demographic includes a wide range of ages, from active youth to older adults, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your role is vital in guiding patients through their recovery journeys, ensuring they understand and actively participate in their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the design of exercise programs.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation and tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient clinic setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to create individualized rehabilitation strategies based on diverse patient presentations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and motivate patients in their recovery process.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
