Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

RN – Trauma

Available schedules: can sign for 36 or 48 hours/week (confirm shift in submittal, e.g., 3x12, 4x12). Weekend requirement: every other weekend.

Guaranteed hours: Yes.

Minimum 5 years RN experience. Required trauma experience: Level I and Level II trauma experience. Travel experience required. Previous charge experience: preferred. Required certifications: BCLS/BLS and ACLS. Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required. Experience in Med/Surg nursing and level I trauma care. Proficient in blood product administration, IV start/maintenance, chest tube management, surgical drains, airway/oxygen therapies, and PCA administration.

Provide comprehensive nursing care to trauma patients in an acute care setting. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and assess patients' conditions, identifying any changes that require immediate intervention. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only). Local rule: No local candidates within a 75-mile radius. Compliance documents due by 3pm CST the Monday before initial start. Fit testing: facial hair must allow for proper fit testing. Pre-start requirements: modules required and must be completed pre-start.
