Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General)

Administers nursing care within scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician. Responsibilities include administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, and inserting catheters. Monitors and assists during procedures, including dialysis treatments and first aid during emergencies. Maintains medication accountability records and observes, documents, and reports patient conditions. Provides general nursing care, assists patients with daily living activities, and responds to patient alarms. Orders medication and medical supplies, cleans nursing stations and medical areas, and performs clerical tasks. Attends various meetings and participates in staff training programs as assigned. Provides guidance and training to lower-level direct care staff in unskilled nursing care tasks.
