Short Description IGT is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Close & Consolidations to join our Corporate Accounting organization. This highly visible role will provide leadership and oversight of the Company's global financial close and consolidation processes, ensuring the timely, accurate, and complete reporting of consolidated financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Company policies. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in coordinating the global close across a complex, multinational organization and will oversee key consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency matters, consolidation entries, balance sheet analysis, and financial reporting packages. The role will also provide oversight of consolidation systems and drive initiatives to improve, automate, and standardize the global close and consolidation processes. This position requires a strong technical accounting foundation, deep understanding of global consolidations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with regional Controllers and Finance teams, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, and other stakeholders throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual global financial close and consolidation processes, ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved and consolidated financial results are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate close activities across global business units and legal entities, proactively identifying and resolving accounting and reporting matters that could impact the close.
• Establish and maintain the global close calendar, reporting requirements, and consolidation procedures while driving accountability across participating Finance teams.
• Review and approve significant corporate and consolidation journal entries and analyze unusual or complex transactions impacting consolidated results.
• Oversee key consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, cumulative translation adjustments, consolidation adjustments, and other corporate-level entries.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes, partnering with global Finance teams to investigate and resolve differences on a timely basis.
• Review consolidated balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses and investigate significant or unusual movements in reported results.
• Review key balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of aged or significant reconciling items.
• Partner with regional Controllers and accounting teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and accurate reporting across the global organization.
• Support the accounting and consolidation of acquisitions, divestitures, legal entity restructurings, discontinued operations, and other significant corporate transactions.
• Partner with Technical Accounting on complex transactions and implementation of new accounting standards that impact the consolidation and close processes.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including preparation and review of consolidation schedules, financial statement support, management reporting, and other information required for external reporting.
• Prepare and review financial analyses and reporting packages for senior management, including the Corporate Controller, CFO, and other Finance leadership.
• Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between consolidated actual results, management reporting, forecasts, and planning processes.
• Oversee the administration and governance of the Company's financial consolidation systems, including maintenance of consolidation structures, hierarchies, reporting requirements, and system controls.
• Partner with Finance Technology and other stakeholders on consolidation system enhancements, implementations, integrations, and transformation initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over the financial close and consolidation processes, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and Company policies.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors for matters related to the close, consolidation, and corporate accounting processes.
• Identify and implement opportunities to accelerate the close, automate manual activities, standardize global processes, and improve the quality and transparency of financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation supporting the global close and consolidation processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop Corporate Accounting team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
• Lead or participate in special projects and provide ad hoc financial analysis for the Corporate Controller, CFO, and other senior management as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA highly desirable.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant experience in corporate accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, and/or public accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of people leadership experience, with demonstrated success developing and managing accounting professionals.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial consolidations, and SOX requirements.
• Experience with complex, multi-entity financial consolidations and global financial close processes.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, consolidation eliminations, foreign currency translation, and financial statement analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounting processes and deliver accurate results within tight reporting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior management.
• Strong leadership and business partnering skills with the ability to influence teams across a global organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a large, publicly traded, multinational organization.
• Combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience; Big Four experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP and HFM or similar enterprise consolidation systems.
• Experience administering or implementing financial consolidation and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of IFRS and experience working with international accounting organizations.
• Experience with acquisitions, divestitures, legal entity restructurings, and other complex corporate transactions.
• Experience leading close optimization, finance transformation, process standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools.
