Pharmacy Technician

Description Job Description Our Pharmacy Technician position will assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations, in the practice of pharmacy. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Processes payment using pharmacy and cashier system.
Performs duties as assigned by Director of Pharmacy Operations including ensuring patient information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
Immediately reports any prescription and/or quality errors to Director of Pharmacy.
Experience and Education

Experience and Education
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- 1 year working experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Required)
- Medical office experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- PTCB certified (Preferred)
- Experience with compounding (Preferred)
