Alessandro's Wood Fired Italian & Bar, a beloved neighborhood restaurant in the heart of Wayne, is looking for experienced, hospitality-driven Servers to join our team.

We're looking for people who understand that great hospitality is about more than excellent food and attentive service. It's about making guests feel welcome, building relationships, remembering the details, and creating the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.

Our style of service is warm, knowledgeable, professional, and approachable. We take our food, wine, and service standards seriously, but believe the best hospitality should feel genuine, comfortable, and never overly formal.

Our Servers are expected to:

• Create genuine connections with guests and help build lasting relationships with our neighborhood regulars
• Provide knowledgeable, attentive service without being overly formal or intrusive
• Develop a thorough understanding of our menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and Italian culinary traditions
• Build strong food, wine, cocktail, and beverage knowledge to confidently guide guests through their dining experience
• Anticipate guest needs, recognize opportunities to enhance their experience, and pay attention to the small details
• Maintain proper table maintenance, pacing, and organization throughout service
• Communicate clearly and professionally with the kitchen, bar, management, and support team
• Work collaboratively and step in to help teammates whenever needed
• Handle busy services with composure, efficiency, and a positive attitude
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment
• Take feedback constructively and demonstrate a willingness to continually learn and improve
• Arrive prepared, punctual, polished, and ready to contribute

At Alessandro's, we believe the best Servers know how to read a table.

Some guests want to celebrate a special occasion. Others are stopping in for their favorite pasta and a glass of wine. Some want recommendations and conversation, while others simply want a relaxed evening with family and friends.

Understanding those differences, adapting your approach, and making every guest feel genuinely taken care of is what separates good service from great hospitality.

We want Servers who know the standards but also know how to make people feel at home.

Compensation: Hourly ($2.83)
