Registered Dental Hygienist

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices at our growing general dentistry practice in High Point. We focus on a fun and professional practice culture. You should have knowledge of preventive dentistry, periodontal health and patient education. If you are a team player and have great bedside manner, we’d like to meet you.
About us
- Busy two doctor private practice with three full time hygienists and 1 part time hygienist.
- Fully paperless and digital with Dentrix Ascend software, CEREC in house milling, digital scanning, CBCT
- Will set up the hygiene schedule to help ease a new graduate into private practice. All of our new patient appointments are 80 minutes, SCRP are 80 minutes, recare appointments are 50-60 minutes.
- Have a full time designated hygiene assistant , so you can focus on patient treatment and education
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Use intra oral camera to educate patients
- Accurately record probing depths and recognize gingival/periodontal disease
- Perform prophylaxis and scaling/root planning
- Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene, utilize intra oral camera for education
- Take X-rays
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Skills
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Valid license to practice
