Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Fire Sprinkler Service FitterThe Fire Sprinkler Service Fitter is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of office sprinkler systems in existing commercial and industrial facilities. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, professional customer interaction, and knowledge of applicable fire codes and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, test, service, and repair fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standardsDiagnose system issues and perform corrective repairsReplace sprinkler heads, valves, gauges, fittings, and related componentsPerform annual, quarterly, and periodic inspections and testingDocument inspections, deficiencies, and repairs accuratelyCommunicate findings and recommendations to customers in a professional mannerCoordinate service calls and follow up on corrective actionsEnsure compliance with NFPA, AHJ requirements, and company policiesMaintain service vehicle, tools, and equipmentFollow OSHA and company safety procedures at all timesWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or GED preferred5+ years of fire sprinkler service experience preferredWorking knowledge of NFPA 13, 13D, 13R, and NFPA 25Ability to read service tickets, inspection reports, and system drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass background check and drug screeningPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 75 lbsComfortable working at heights, on ladders, lifts, and scaffoldingAbility to work in mechanical rooms, ceilings, and confined spacesWillingness to work in varied weather conditionsPreferred CertificationsNICET (any level)State or local Fire Sprinkler Fitter licenseOSHA 10 or OSHA 30Work Schedule & EnvironmentFull-time, non-union positionOn-call or after-hours service is requiredCommercial and industrial customer sitesWhy You'll Love Working HereAt Polk Mechanical, you're more than an employee — you're part of Polk Nation.
