The Management Trainee (MT) will work closely with department managers and the Operations Manager, gradually taking on more responsibilities with the goal of progressing to a branch or department manager role. This position involves hands-on involvement in daily operational tasks, supporting multiple teams, and helping drive departmental growth and efficiency across the company.
Responsibilities
- Support department managers with daily operational responsibilities and business tasks
- Learn and assist in customer service, branch management, and company procedures
- Supervise customer service personnel, warehouse staff, and delivery drivers as needed
- Assist with employee evaluations, promote teamwork, morale, and operational efficiency
- Monitor and improve customer satisfaction scores and quality control measures
- Ensure compliance with company policies, training manuals, and vehicle maintenance schedules
- Track, review, and report on orders, deliveries, and productivity data
- Aid in training new hires and conducting competency assessments
- Prepare and support sales and operational reporting for management
- Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure smooth branch operations
- Support outreach efforts such as customer calls and client follow-ups
- Help resolve escalated customer service issues and perform audits for continuous improvement
- Travel between locations as needed and back up various roles
- Report directly to the Operations Manager and collaborate on strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff
- Effective communication skills
- Experience in sales and customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
