About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Financial Planning and Analysis to lead its budget, forecasting, long-range financial planning, and institutional financial analysis functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating institutional priorities into sustainable financial plans, providing forward-looking analysis to support resource allocation and decision-making, and serving as a strategic advisor on financial performance, affordability, and the financial implications of major initiatives. Key responsibilities include leading the development of annual and multi-year operating and capital budgets, maintaining integrated financial models, and developing scenario analyses to support institutional decisions. The role also involves leading the FP&A team, partnering with various institutional units, and ensuring the effective use of financial systems and tools. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a CPA, MBA, or master's degree in finance or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial planning and analysis or related financial leadership roles. Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders on financial matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in higher education or a similarly complex nonprofit institution, and a strong background in budget development, multi-year financial planning, and management reporting. Leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are also required, along with the ability to build strong partnerships and advance a culture of financial accountability and disciplined resource allocation.
