As a Security Officer 1 with Wernersville State Hospital, you will play an important part in creating a calm, safe, and orderly setting. As a Security Officer 1, you will perform the following duties: Facility Patrol: Monitor tunnels, buildings, and grounds to identify safety hazards, unauthorized persons, and unusual conditions Traffic Control: Enforce vehicle regulations, maintain orderly parking, and support proper traffic flow on hospital property Assistance Service: Escort or help visitors, consumers, and staff by providing directions, support, and safe movement Emergency Response: Assist with searches, incident investigations, and coordination with emergency services Report Completion: Document daily activities, incidents, and observations according to established procedures Operational Support: Perform inspections, deliver items, and assist with communication center coverage when needed Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with varied days off and two 15-minute breaks. You will work every other weekend. Schedule may change based on operational needs. Overtime as operationally necessary Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,515.00 (before taxes).
