Bilingual Accounting Clerk

Bilingual Accounting Clerk (English/Spanish) Location: Sparta, TN Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time Express Employment Professionals is urgently seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Accounting Clerk (English/Spanish) to join our client's team in Sparta, Tennessee. This position will primarily focus on Accounts Payable (AP) functions while supporting general accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience, strong financial knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and experience using Sage and/or SAP ERP systems. The successful candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish and be comfortable communicating with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams in both languages. Key Responsibilities Process and manage high-volume Accounts Payable transactions accurately and efficiently. Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system. Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues. Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate account information. Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments. Reconcile vendor statements and AP accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Support general accounting and administrative functions as needed. Communicate with vendors and internal departments in both English and Spanish. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications Required Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written). Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable. Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes. Experience using Sage and/or SAP accounting/ERP software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience. Experience with vendor management and payment processing.
