Job Opportunity: Full-Time Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician

Our organization is actively looking for a Full-Time, Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to become a part of our skilled Hospitalist team at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois.

We are particularly interested in an experienced hospitalist who is adept at managing a diverse range of inpatient cases and is eager to contribute to quality improvement and growth initiatives within a community-oriented hospital setting.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Day Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• Night Shift: Opportunities available with additional compensation
• Includes: Weekends and holidays
• EMR: Transitioning to EPIC
• E-ICU Support: Currently in place, moving towards expanded in-house coverage

Departmental Responsibilities:

As a hospitalist, you will be responsible for managing a variety of inpatient cases, including:

• Acute medical admissions
• Exacerbations of chronic diseases
• Post-surgical medical management
• Care coordination and discharge planning
• Collaboration with primary care and specialty providers

Our organization emphasizes strong collaboration across the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin network.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible
• Training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligibility for Illinois medical licensure
• ACLS and BLS certification
• Significant inpatient experience is highly preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Salary for Day Shift: $345,000

Night Shift: Premium compensation available
