Job Opportunity: Full-Time Critical Care Physician

Our organization is actively looking for a Full-Time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Critical Care Physician to enhance our growing ICU team in Freeport, Illinois. This position offers a unique chance to engage in high-acuity critical care within an inpatient nocturnist setting.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-Time - 2,184 hours annually
• Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off
• Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (In-house / Tele-ICU)
• Includes: Weekends and holidays
• Responsibilities: Covering Critical Care Inpatient and Tele-ICU at other facilities
• EMR System: Currently using Meditech, transitioning to Epic in October

Department Overview:

• ICU Level: Level 2
• Capacity: 8 Bed ICU
• Common Cases: Post-operative general surgery, mechanical ventilation, sepsis, substance abuse/withdrawal, and DKA
• ICU Type: Open ICU with a robust Hospitalist team
• Transfer Protocol: High acuity cases transferred to JBH and MHTC

Qualifications:

• MD/DO Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Fellowship training in Critical Care or Pulmonary/Critical Care
• Eligibility for Illinois medical licensure
• Strong clinical skills in high-acuity ICU environments
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: Ranges from $470,000 to $500,000
