Software Engineer Staff / Embedded HWIL / C++ / Dallas, TX

Job Overview You will be the Software Engineer Staff for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team, responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems. Responsibilities Develop Embedded Software in C/C++ (version 11 or higher). Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications. Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Qualifications Must have an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance (Final Secret). BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Previous HWIL experience working with real-time embedded systems using both hardware and software. Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher for C++). Proficiency in Linux systems and Real-Time Operating Environments. Experience integrating hardware and software. Experience in real-time software generation, hardware testing, and/or embedded systems and/or simulation systems. Desired Skills Ability to physically come on site in Dallas and work in labs to support integration. Experience with low-level software development/device drivers. Experience working in cross-discipline/cross-functional teams. MS or greater in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Full software development life cycle experience. Experience with Git, Gitlab, JIRA. VxWorks experience. Agile (scrum) experience. Experience integrating closed-loop systems. Experience with automated testing frameworks and unit testing. Security Clearance This position requires a U.S. citizen and a final Secret Security Clearance. Applicants must have a US Citizen and the required clearance. Location and Work Schedule Position is onsite in Dallas, TX. Work schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
