Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations of patients to assess their specific needs and establish a comprehensive understanding of their mental health status.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to the emotional and psychological challenges presented by each patient.
• Engage in active listening and therapeutic dialogue with patients, creating a safe environment for them to express their thoughts and feelings.
• Educate patients and their support systems on coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, empowering them with the tools necessary to manage their conditions.
• Maintain ongoing monitoring of patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and strategies as needed to align with evolving needs.
• Collaborate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community programs to facilitate access to additional resources and services that will benefit patients.
• Participate in continuing education and training to ensure that you are knowledgeable about the latest best practices and maintain your National Certified Counselor certification.
• Advocate for and provide insights into the need for improved assessment and treatment methodologies within the community, particularly concerning trauma-related injuries.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
