Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control in Montgomery, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $16.92 - $17.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including the facility perimeter, parking areas, docks, and access points, to help identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-control records while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
