Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse history and any co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Developing personalized treatment plans that specifically address both addiction and underlying mental health issues, ensuring they are tailored to meet individual client needs.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, to foster recovery.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals—including psychiatrists, social workers, and addiction specialists—to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for your clients.

• Providing education and support to clients’ families, encouraging their involvement as active participants in the recovery process.

• Maintaining meticulous records to comply with healthcare regulations and standards, ensuring all documentation reflects the utmost accuracy for optimal client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients grappling with substance abuse issues, including but not limited to alcohol and drug addiction. Additionally, you will work closely with individuals facing co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, fostering a comprehensive support system tailored to each client's unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid mental health license, such as LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling, with a thorough understanding of the complexities of substance abuse.

• A strong grasp of evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals on their recovery paths.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum qualifications are essential, candidates with experience in telehealth counseling, certified addiction training, and a proven track record in patient retention and engagement will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits\n
