Substitute Food Service Worker

The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a substitute food service worker to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This support role is essential to promoting student well-being and contributing to the smooth operation of daily food service programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and student service.

Key responsibilities include ensuring meals are prepared and delivered to students and staff in a clean, safe, and healthy environment, performing all duties as assigned by the head cook, storing, utilizing, and disposing of food and supplies in accordance with federal, state, local, and district regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and performing any sanitation duties to properly clean all equipment.

Education requirements include a minimum high school diploma or GED. Preferred experience includes previous experience in a cafeteria role. Certifications and licenses are not required.
