The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a substitute nurse to provide essential health services and support to students and staff across district schools. This role is vital to ensuring a safe, responsive, and health-conscious learning environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgment, adaptability across school settings, and a commitment to student wellness and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities include providing medical care services to students as assigned, administering medications as directed, maintaining health and medication records and reports, effectively communicating with students and district personnel, and managing and providing health room services according to established procedures.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED. Preferred experience includes previous experience in a nursing role. Required certifications include a nursing certificate and a current Pennsylvania license as a registered nurse or practical nurse.

Application requirements for external applicants include submitting current employment clearances, copies of degree certificates and transcripts, and Act 168 paperwork, physical exam results, and TB test results.
