This position requires strong technique, composure under pressure, and a genuine passion for food that nourishes the body. This role is expected to perform the responsibilities as outlined below, always guided by culinary integrity and respect for the experience each dish creates.Pay Rate: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour. Join our team as a full-time line cook and receive a $500 sign-on bonus! Payable after 90 days of successful employment.Job Responsibilities:Food Preparation & Production Set up and stock the production line for The Bistro, ensuring all menu items are properly prepared and availablePrepare all menu items according to Mirbeau recipes and specifications, maintaining quality, consistency and timelinessFollow portioning, plating and presentation guidelinesVerify that daily specials and standard menu items are prepared according to recipe guidelines and service timelinesCoordinate with the pantry prep cook to ensure garnishes, salads and condiments are ready for each service periodEnsure the production line is fully stocked and ready prior to each service periodMaintain full readiness of the line throughout service periods, restocking and adjusting as neededBreak down and clean the line at the end of each serviceCommunication & Collaboration Maintain open and effective communication with the Chef de Cuisine regarding menu changes, updates or shortages, prep needs, or service issuesContribute to a positive kitchen environment by offering ideas and improvements, address challenges, and contribute solutions to enhance kitchen productivity and food qualityCollaborate professionally with kitchen and FOH staff to ensure seamless serviceCleanliness & Food Safety Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas and personal groomingMaintain a clean and organized workstationHandle, label and store food properly and safely to prevent spoilage, waste or food safety hazardsAdhere to all food safety guidelines and kitchen procedures at all timesPractice proper hygiene and personal cleanliness at all timesFollow all allergy-related procedures, ensuring meals are safely prepared, plated and served, keeping the safety and trust of the guest in mindProfessional Conduct Report to work on time, in a clean uniform with name tag, and with a professionally groomedUphold the standards of excellence expected in both service and appearanceFollow all instructions from the Chef de Cuisine, and complete additional tasks as assignedQualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements:Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of three years of experience in fine dining or refined restaurant kitchensCulinary school education is a strong plusPrior experience working in high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environmentSkills & Knowledge Strong communication skills – both verbal and interpersonalFamiliarity with professional kitchen equipment, tools and preparation methodsAble to read and follow recipes accurately and consistentlyExcellent time management, multitasking and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality, consistency and presentationAbility to work efficiently with minimal supervisionFocused, goal-oriented, and dependable under pressurePersonal Attributes Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative with a passion for food and serviceTeam player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and growFriendly, approachable and professional in demeanorResults-driven with a strong work ethic and pride in their craftFlexible and reliable- available to work nights, weekends and holidaysEmployee Perks and Company Incentives:Discounted rates for services and retail items within the spa!!401K with company matchMedical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance PlanEmployee Assistance Program and ResourcesPaid time off for full-time AND part-time employees!!Holiday PayCareer advancement potential within the companyAnniversary Program!!Work Performance IncentivesAnd more!!!The best meals begin with the best behind the scenes.
