Our web-based platform allows users to remotely and virtually prototype and test electronic systems without physical devices. Think about making a smart watch, a roomba, or even an automated home system. In the GIF above, a physical hardware device in our data center is being programmed to write to a simulated LCD screen - in real-time! Below, users are streaming data back from their devices via our monitoring & debugging features. Our platform provides accessibility of tools and test equipment for early-stage hardware startups, universities, and individuals part of the maker community to get to market faster, collaborate with each other, to turn ideas into a reality. The Role
As a Back End Developer at Sahara Cloud, you will work closely with our product team to build the technology and foundation of our virtual prototyping platform. We are a small and agile team solving big and challenging problems.
You will thrive here if you are:
- Interested in solving highly complex and challenging engineering problems (think hardware + software)
- Looking for a role that has high-growth potential to build and manage your own team

We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have a solver mentality and are willing to tackle extremely difficult and complex problems
- Love to implement & design well-tested, highly optimized web applications, components, and libraries
- Professional experience with Node.js, Javascript, REST APIs, Microservices, AWS, MongoDB
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
- Come from previous founder or early startup employee experience
Salary Range: 125-175K
Sahara Cloud is based in Los Angeles, but we are a remote-first company.
