This full-year, contract opportunity offers you the chance to split your week across multiple locations, including three days in the Northwest Area and two days supporting Intermediate Unit programs throughout the Wilkes Barre, Wyoming Valley, and Pittston regions. Key Qualifications:

• Valid PA Social Worker (SW) license required (or eligibility for emergency certification for the first year)
• PA Department of Education School Social Worker certificate preferred (emergency certification options available if not currently held)
• Previous experience in school settings or working closely with children, adolescents, and families encouraged
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and advocacy skills
• Adaptability to travel between sites within a school week
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize needs across locations

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention to students
• Develop and implement targeted interventions and behavioral plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
• Facilitate referrals to community resources and services
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
• Participate actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings and planning
• Travel between assigned school sites to offer your expertise where it’s needed most
