Salary:

Job Summary:Produces components and finished product by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and part lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms as needed
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Other duties as required

Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years experience as an assembler
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings, etc.
• Ability to use tools (e.g. clamps, hand tools, etc.)
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
