Description

• Conduct thorough assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using standardized evaluations and observational strategies.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that focus on both immediate goals and sustained improvement in communication, cognitive, or swallowing capabilities.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting fluent communication, effective language use, vocal clarity, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, along with families to develop holistic care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments to ensure seamless care throughout each patient's journey.
• Keep detailed and timely documentation according to local, federal, and organizational standards.
• Embrace ongoing professional development through continuing education and peer engagements.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Therapist .
• Preferred possession of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.

• Deep knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods applicable to all age ranges with a thorough understanding of developmental and acquired communication, language, and swallowing issues.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with patients, families, and a diverse care team.
• Ability to adjust therapy modalities to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Strong clinical judgment coupled with adept problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with digital health records and documentation protocols.
