HR Business Partner Location: Abilene, TX Shift/Schedule: Full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday Pay/Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 per year About the Role A fast-paced, safety-first production facility is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as the strategic people leader for its site workforce. This partner will advise plant leadership on talent, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness across a high-volume hourly and salaried workforce. The role offers broad ownership, direct influence on plant culture, and the stability of a well-known global manufacturer. The ideal candidate has partnered with plant leadership in a manufacturing environment and is equally comfortable on the production floor and in the conference room. You build trust with hourly employees, give supervisors practical guidance, and use data to support people decisions that improve retention and engagement. Core Responsibilities Advise plant leaders on workforce planning, talent, and organizational effectiveness Lead employee relations investigations and resolve concerns fairly and promptly Drive recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies for hourly and salaried staff Coach supervisors on performance management, discipline, and policy application Analyze turnover, engagement, and staffing data to guide people decisions Support compensation, benefits, and annual talent review processes Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field Progressive HR generalist or business partner experience in manufacturing Strong employee relations and investigation experience Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment law Excellent coaching, influence, and conflict resolution skills Ability to work onsite and engage employees across all shifts Preferred Qualifications PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification Experience supporting a large hourly manufacturing workforce Labor relations or collective bargaining exposure Proficiency with HRIS platforms and people analytics Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills Benefits & Pay Pay: $120,000 – $130,000 per year Competitive annual salary based on experience Full-time, permanent position with a global manufacturer Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits through the employer Strategic role with direct impact on site culture Career growth opportunities across a national HR organization Screening Questions How many years have you worked as an HR generalist or business partner in manufacturing?
