Qualifications:

• Current unencumbered State of Vermont CNA License

• Strong communication skills to communicate with residents, nurses, and staff

• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

• Critical-thinking skills

• Ability to handle different situations with tact and professionalism

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including serving meals, feeding patients, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients

• Provide physical care, including baths, hair care, oral care, back care, and elimination care

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients

• Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake, and output

• Perform routine perineal and incontinence care

• Observe and report any changes in a patient's general condition

• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe patient environment

• Complete daily documentation accurately on required forms

• Demonstrate flexibility in accepting different assignments
