Temporary Staff Accountant Location: Baltimore, MD (Fully On-Site) Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour Duration: 4-6 weeks (potential to extend) Parking: Street parking available About the Role: A local Baltimore-based nonprofit is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to provide short-term support for their finance team. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and experienced in nonprofit accounting who can hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities Assist with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations Support month-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards Support grant-related accounting and reporting (highly preferred) Qualifications Prior experience in accounting (nonprofit experience preferred) Grant accounting experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficiency in accounting software and Excel Ability to work independently and meet deadlines All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
