Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring Epic charting experience and at least one year of specialty experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations,
• Patient population includes adults undergoing left and right heart catheterizations,
• Utilizes procedural sedation administration and monitoring, along with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring,
• Requires interpretation and management of dysrhythmias,
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), Monday-Friday with one day off during the week,
• Shift typically starts at 0730 but may shift to 0630 as needed with notice given the day before,
• 13-week contract length,
• No block or self-scheduling available,
• Epic EMR experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted),
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• BSN required,
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required within the past 2 years,
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required,
• Prior travel nursing experience required,
• Epic charting experience required and must be reflected in work history,
• Two supervisor references required at time of application,
• Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts),

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and monitoring procedural sedation,
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate,
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred,
• All RTO must be submitted upfront and cannot be changed once the profile is under manager review,
• Screenshot confirming RTO required at time of application,
• Candidates previously employed by the facility must be gone a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Manager interview may or may not be conducted
