Sales Intelligence & Lead Generation Specialist

This is a brand-new position at AAP - and one of the most important hires we are making in 2026. We are building an internal, Al-powered lead generation capability from the ground up, and we need the right person to own it. You will not be a traditional salesperson. You will be the engine behind our sales team - identifying the right prospects, researching them deeply, building targeted outreach lists, and handing warm, qualified opportunities to our salespeople so they can do what they do best: build relationships and close business. What You Will Own Build and manage AAP's prospecting system from the ground up using Al-powered tools Develop and continuously refine our Ideal Customer Profile - who is the perfect AAP customer and where do we find more of them Use platforms like Apollo.io, Zoomlnfo, Linkedln Sales Navigator, and Al tools to identify, research, and prioritize target accounts Build targeted prospect lists by industry, company size, geography, and buying signals Monitor market signals - new facility openings, hiring in operations, supplier changes - that indicate a prospect may be ready to engage Develop outreach sequences and messaging that gets responses - email, Linkedln, and other channels Hand qualified, well-researched leads to the sales team with full context on the prospect Track and report on pipeline metrics - leads generated, conversion rates, pipeline value Stay current on Al and sales intelligence tools and bring new ideas to the table What You Will Learn You do not need to know polyethylene on day one - we will teach you. What matters is that you become an expert on: AAP's full product capabilities and manufacturing strengths Our sweet spot customers - the industries, company profiles, and buying patterns that make an ideal AAP partner How our sales team works and what makes a truly qualified lead for them What We Are Looking For Must Haves: 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales development, lead generation, marketing, or a data-focused role Comfortable with technology and genuinely excited about Al - you do not need to be an engineer, but you need to be a fast learner Strong research skills - you know how to find information and connect dots Organized and process-oriented - you build systems, not just lists Clear communicator - your handoff to the sales team needs to be crisp and useful Hungry and self-motivated - this role requires someone who can build without a lot of handholding Strong Preferences: Experience with Apollo.io, Zoomlnfo, Linkedln Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or Salesforce Familiarity with Al tools for research, writing, or data analysis Background in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B product companies Experience building outreach sequences or email campaigns Who You Are: You are early in your career, but you think like an owner You get excited about finding patterns in data that other people miss You are comfortable working independently and figuring things out You want to be part of building something - not just filling a seat How Success Is Measured Metric What Good Looks Like Qualified Leads Generated - A consistent weekly flow of researched, targeted prospects handed to the sales team Lead Quality - Sales team converts at a meaningful rate - warm leads, not just names Pipeline Contribution - Measurable percentage of new pipeline tracesback to your prospecting work System Building - A repeatable, documented prospecting process that improves over time Tool Mastery - Becoming the internal expert on our sales intelligence stack Compensation & Incentive Base salary commensurate with experience.
