This role reports to the Senior Practice Development Manager.Position SummaryThe Practice Development Manager will work closely with the global litigation practice marketing team and certain industry group teams, contributing to a broad range of business development and marketing activities, while also taking direct responsibility for managing specific litigation practice areas,and working as an integral part of the global marketing and business development team.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks with the global litigation practice/industry groups to support attorney requestsAssists in the deployment of programs and events hosted/sponsored by the firm, such as teleconferences, webinars, seminars and other events, including the development and production of marketing materials and on-site logistics Works with creative services team to create ads and other collateral materials for charitable events and sponsorships; submits ads to organizations upon approvalCompiles information for directory and ranking authorities such as Chambers USA, Legal 500,Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, etc.Compiles information for proposals and requests for proposal (RFP), utilizing practice descriptions, experience databases, and client lists Assists in distributing marketing materials, internal newsletters, press releases, seminar materials, client alerts and updates and other client communications, as neededEnsures the flow of information from attorneys to marketing team, including as it relates to attorney biographies, practice area description updates, experience tracking news and activities data, press releases, etc.Inputs data into relevant databases and makes sure information is stored/saved correctlySubmits requests to marketing intelligence for proposals and other projectsSupports marketing initiatives such as shareholder practice meetings, cross-marketing meetings or other office prioritiesProvides excellent client service to internal and external clientsCollaborates with marketing and other business professionals throughout the firm across functions and teams·Works on other projects as assignedQualificationsSkills & Competencies A self-starter and team player, able to accept direction, yet work independentlyOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environmentStrong client-first work ethicAbility to effectively interface with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients·Strong attention to detail, and possesses excellent multi-tasking and organizational skillsEducation & Prior ExperienceBachelor’s degree is required; Master’s or JD preferredMinimum 10-15 years marketing experience; legal or professional services marketing experience highly preferredTechnologyHigh level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Experience using firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support professional and managerial work, applying judgment to validate outputs and maintain accountability for final deliverables.Models and promotes responsible AI use, including the adoption of emerging AI technologies, emphasizing privacy, confidentiality, and appropriate human oversight Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move from workstation or desk throughout the work area to work independently or with a team to meet with colleagues or supervisor and retrieve work assignments.This position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of time.Requires manual dexterity to use a phone, enter data into a computer, handle objects, and use office equipment.GT is an EEO employer with an inclusive workplace committed to merit-based consideration and review without regard to an individual’s race, sex, or other protected characteristics and to the principles of non-discrimination on any protected basis.
