Regional Market Operation Associate - Tanzania

Job Title: Regional Market Operations Associate

Experience: 3+ years

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Responsibilities:

• Work with clients, banks, and company accounts on cash transfers, settlement funding, and proof of payments, ensuring timely processing.
• Send contract notes and trade confirmations to clients accurately and within required timelines.
• Open client accounts, complete KYC documentation, and liaise with custodians for account setup and maintenance.
• Check and monitor account balances and funding availability prior to trading activity.
• Ensure clients are updated on dividends and corporate actions, including bonuses, rights, and splits across regional markets.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all regulatory and documentation requirements are met.
• Update and maintain the trades register, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and tracked.
• Coordinate with custodians to ensure timely settlement of trades (DVP/FOP) across different markets.
• Perform daily cash and position reconciliations with custodians, brokers, and the internal finance team.
• Investigate and resolve settlement issues, failed trades, and discrepancies.
• Maintain proper records, audit trails, and documentation for all transactions.
• Act as the point of contact for client operational queries and provide timely updates.
• Prepare and share internal reports on trades, cash positions, and client activities.
• Monitor settlement cycles and market-specific requirements across regional exchanges.
• Identify and support process improvements and operational efficiencies.
