Hood Container is looking for skilled Forklift Operator to join our high-performing team in Chicago. If you’re safety-driven, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this is your chance to grow with a national leader in sustainable packaging.

What You’ll Do:

Ensure inventory accuracy by verifying materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
Keep the warehouse and dock area clean, organized, and safe.
Work closely with Shipping & Receiving on incoming and outgoing materials.
Partner with Production Planning to ensure materials are available for upcoming orders.
Pull and prepare jobs for the next shift’s production run.
Quickly fulfill material replenishment requests to avoid production delays.
Handle and load scrap materials efficiently.
Operate and maintain a forklift safely to prevent damage to products, equipment, and personnel.
Inspect propane cylinders to ensure they are stored properly and filled as required.
Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience: At least 3 years of warehousing and inventory control experience.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Skills: Basic computer proficiency, strong math skills, and attention to detail.
Safety Focus: Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed.
