Job Summary: This role is responsible for providing advanced support to thedepartment’s data governance, knowledge management, and recordsmanagement and archives activities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Performance Requirements* Supports the college’s data governance program and contributes tothe development of data standards, policies, definitions, andstewardship practices Provides administrative and technical support for departmentalprojects and initiatives, such as project management, schedulingmeetings, communicating with stakeholders, conducting research, andpreparing summaries and reports to support decision-making Collaborates with IT, data stewards, and business stakeholders toimplement data standards and improve data quality, accessibility,and consistency Assists with management of the knowledge base by reviewingsubmitted articles, ensuring standardization, auditing currentarticles, soliciting new articles, and maintaining metadata Promotes the use and adoption of data governance and recordsmanagement best practices through communication, training, andoutreach activities Assists with Archives activities, including processing,preservation, digitization, and promotion of archival records andspecial collections, and maintains related inventories, metadata,finding aids, and descriptive documentation Service Excellence Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the essentialperformance requirements Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege Supervision Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader *Performs Other Related Tasks as Required The duties listed are intended only as illustrations of thevarious types of work that may be performed. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one (1) years’ working experience relatedto the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalentcombination of education and work-related experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Library/Information Science orsimilar fields At least one (1) year’s working experience with metadata schemas,ontologies, and digital stewardship tools At least one (1) year’s working experience working in a collegeor university setting related to the Essential PerformanceRequirements Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or other datagovernance, data management, information managementcertifications Records Management Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of information management (data governance, recordsmanagement) best practices Knowledge of project management principles Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and buildingeffective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening,verbal, and written communication skills Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems,including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365platform Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlesslyensuring accurate and timely completion, while exhibiting strongattention to detail and organization Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of ateam in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff,and external stakeholders Ability to identify routine issues and elevate non-standardproblems using established procedures in a fast-paced workenvironment Ability to review basic information and follow policies,procedures, and guidelines when completing assigned tasks Ability to coordinate assigned work and communicate effectivelywith faculty and staff to support campus and departmentaloperations Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuringconfidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidentialinformation Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representatives of thosethat must be met by an employee to successfully perform theessential functions of this job.
