Lead Audio Visual Technician

Commercial AV Systems Installation Lead
High School Diploma or GED. 4+ years of experience installing and supporting commercial AV systems. Experience with: Commercial TVs and display systems Video walls Projectors and projection systems Audio systems and speakers Video conferencing and collaboration technology Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, HDMI) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, AV schematics, and installation documents. Strong troubleshooting skills for audio, video, networking, and control system issues. Excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
Lead the installation and integration of commercial audiovisual systems, including: Large-format displays and TVs Video walls Projectors and projection screens Digital signage systems Sound reinforcement and speaker systems Video conferencing platforms and room technology Read and interpret AV drawings, blueprints, schematics, submittals, and technical documentation. Perform site inspections and evaluate installation requirements, equipment placement, cable pathways, and project specifications. Oversee system installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. Lead, mentor, and delegate work to AV Technicians and installation helpers to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Coordinate daily schedules, productivity, and task assignments for field personnel. Configure and troubleshoot AV technologies, including displays, projectors, DSPs, microphones, speakers, and conferencing equipment. Conduct system testing and verify functionality prior to customer turnover. Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements. Maintain communication with customers, project managers, and other trades throughout project execution. Complete project documentation, testing reports, service tickets, and installation paperwork accurately and on time. Maintain company vehicles, tools, lifts, and testing equipment. Promote and enforce workplace safety standards and job site best practices.
